Welcome to First Camp Vadstena – Vättern, a true gem by the shimmering shores of Lake Vättern! Here you’ll enjoy a camping holiday with beautiful views, refreshing swims, and cozy moments together. Located just a few kilometers north of the charming monastery town of Vadstena, the campsite offers the best of both worlds – peaceful lakeside surroundings and historic sights within easy cycling distance.

The campsite sits right on the shore of Lake Vättern, and many of the pitches and cabins offer stunning lake views. For those arriving with a caravan, motorhome, or tent, there are nearly 400 pitches to choose from, several right by the water’s edge. Prefer a cabin stay? Choose between small, cozy camping cabins or larger cabins that sleep up to six people. Many cabins feature private terraces – perfect for ending the day as the sky turns pink over the lake.

If you enjoy being active on holiday, there are plenty of options: play beach volleyball on the sand court, test your balance on the obstacle course, or jump around on the big air pillow. At the popular Vätterviksbadet beach, located in the middle of the campsite, you’ll find a shallow sandy beach – perfect for both little and big bathers.

If you want to head out on the water, you can rent a kayak or SUP and experience Lake Vättern at its most beautiful. After a day full of adventures, the summer restaurant down by the water invites you to enjoy great food and a view that makes your meal even more memorable.

For those who wish to explore further, Vadstena is just a few minutes away. Wander the cobbled streets, visit the impressive Vadstena Castle, the monastery area, and the charming shops and cafés. Opening hours
First Camp Vadstena – Vättern is open during the spring, summer, and autumn seasons. The shop and restaurant have varying opening hours depending on the time of year.

Waste disposal
At First Camp we work actively for a better environment and hope our guests do the same. At our recycling stations we separate plastic, aluminium, glass, cardboard, and newspapers. Instructions are provided at each station.

Waste station
The emptying station for fixed tanks is located by service buildings 1 and 4.

Bus connections
The nearest bus stop is Vätterviksbadet, located just outside the campsite area.

Defibrillator
A defibrillator is available in the reception.

WiFi
WiFi is available in limited areas of the campsite. Please note that the connection may be slower when the campsite is busy.
