Kärradal – Varberg

Welcome to a true gem on the west coast: First Camp Kärradal – Varberg! Ideally located a few hundred metres from the sea on the west coast just north of Varberg – and with the shopping paradise of Ullared a short distance away – this is a destination that suits the whole family. A visit to the Varberg Fortress is another popular destination for coastal holidaymakers.

You’ll find plenty of fun family activities. How about beating your brother at a round of boules, or your best friend at adventure golf? Perhaps you’ll play your neighbour for an ice cream? The kids can enjoy themselves on the playground or play with newfound friends around the campsite. There is also a service shop and our Bistro!

Choose to stay in a cabin or on a camping pitch with your motorhome, caravan, or tent. Only a few hundred metres from the campsite, the shallow waters and child-friendly beaches stretch out. With the town of Varberg less than 10 km away and nature right around the corner, First Camp Kärradal – Varberg is a true west-coast gem.

Waste
At First Camp we work actively for a better environment and hope you do too. At our waste stations we sort, among other things, plastic, metal, glass, cardboard, and newspapers. Instructions are available at each station.

Barriers
Open the barrier using the access card you received at check-in.

Bus connections
It’s easy to get to Varberg city center by bus. Timetables and ticket bookings are available in the Hallandstrafiken app or on their website. The nearest bus stop is Skogshil (approx. 200 meters walking distance).

Shop
The shop is open year-round and follows the reception’s opening hours, though with a reduced selection outside the camping season.

Defibrillator
A defibrillator is available at reception.

Service card
At check-in, you will receive an access/service card. These can be loaded with money and used for things like the washing machines (located in service building 1). Showers are free of charge.

Emptying station
There are facilities for emptying chemical toilets in all of our service buildings (1, 2 and 3). Greywater disposal is available at service building 1.

WIFI
WIFI is available in limited parts of the area.

Opening hours
The cabin area at First Camp Kärradal – Varberg is open all year round. Other facilities such as the restaurant and shop have opening hours that vary depending on the season.
